OUR PTA MISSION STATEMENT
The Ashley River Creative Arts PTA will be a powerful voice for all children,a relevant resource for families and communities and a strong advocate for the education and well-being of every child.
ARCAE participates each year with the Community of Readers.
This year, we would like to make you aware of the Home Reading Award which is part of the same process.
The application and details for the Home Reading Award are now available at http://www.charlestonreaders.org/.
Applications are due March 15.
We have some remarkable readers at our school and we encourage their families to apply for this prestigious award.
Attention all future tennis stars-we need YOU!
The ARCAE Tennis Team will be having tryouts for the 2012 team on Tuesday, Jan. 31 starting at 4:30 pm The tryouts will be held at the Lenevar Tennis Courts off of Lenevar Dr. Tryout are open to all 2nd - 5th graders. At this point, there will be only one ARCAE team playing in the Tri-County Elementary School Tennis League (unless another volunteer coach decides to come forward to lead with a second team). I am still looking for a parent to assist me with practices and games, so if you are interested, please let me know.

The 100th day of school is on January 30th .
Celebrate by wearing a hat to school that somehow represents the number 100.
Can't wait to see your creative 100 hats on Monday !
ARCAE is participating in the 2012 SouperBowl of caring .During the event 2nd Graders are organizing a collection of Food items and monetary donations.100% of which will go to Lowcountry Food Bank
